Atlanta’s Emerald Necklace: a Tour of the Atlanta BeltLine
Friday, September 5, 2014 | 7:30 – 9:00 am

Join us to tour the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside trail with knowledgeable guides from the BeltLine and Trees Atlanta.

First conceived as a 1999 master’s thesis by Georgia Tech student Ryan Gravel, the Atlanta BeltLine has evolved into a robust vision of integrated transportation, land use, greenspace and sustainable growth. When complete, the 22-mile BeltLine will encircle the city, connecting 45 intown neighborhoods. It will also be home to an arboretum consisting of several thousand trees planted by Trees Atlanta.

Location
We’ll meet at the Atlanta BeltLine tent that will set up next to the Park Tavern parking lot on Monroe Drive, just north of the intersection of 10th Street and Monroe Drive.
